What tyres are good for the mud? I do a mix of heavy XC, Freeride and dirtjump. At the minute i have Specialized enduro pro tyres, and i am looking for something about the same width, but for mud. Preferably from specialized.

Not sure why you prefer Specialised. Loads of makes around but probably the best for you is the ever elusive Maxxis. Very grippy and range of tyres for all situations. The Swampthing is the mud tyre.

Panaracer have always done great mud tyres. Go for a fairly narrow Fire Mud, or one of the old Spikes (If you can find them!)

Fire Muds come in 1.8 only AFAIK. A good tyre, but not for freeride/dirtjump.

IRC Mudmad has been recommended before, and IIRC comes in 2.1. Or try one of the downhill muds.

I'd go for Panaracers if you want to do all-round riding, but the best tyres I've ever used in the mud were Michelins (2.2 Comp16s). If your rides involve going *up* hills, though, I wouldn't recommend the Comp16s unless you want some serious fitness training, they're that grippy.

Fire XC Pros are in 2.1 as well as 1.8 - they work well in mud - especially clay and chalk.
