I need to get some XTR outer cable by the metre, brake and gear cable, as my MTB has full length size cables and the Shimano pre cut packs are too small.

I would be very grateful if anyone knows where I can get hold of some.

I've not found a bike shop that sells it by the metre, they tend to only stock cheap and nasty stuff for that. Also, if you do, i think a couple of metres of it would cost you an arm and a leg :-(

Could you not use one of the decent sealed cable systems? They tend to come in one piece so that you can cut to fit.

Yeah but those rolls come in lengths of 30metres for workshops. You'll be lucky to find one with a roll.

Shops that do serious Road Bikes seem to keep it in stock, I think its the same as the Shimano Dura-Ace, not cheap though.
