The mail order company are in Germany, but that price includes tax and postage. Since they are in the EC, you don't pay UK tax or import duty and they only take about a week to arrive.
okay, so the tyres are 24.90 each (euros) and the weight is 1.18kg, which using the postage charges chart means p&p is 9.70 (euros) so the total cost is 59.50
i'm ordering loads of gear on friday to build a bull bouncing stair jumping machine and the only two budgeted choices were tioga dh widowmakers or the gazzas (heavy enough to ensure the mafia don't have to give you concrete boots to make you sink to the bottom of the river!)
might try them out, with someone elses credit card, due to me only having Switch!!
Toni, just tweak the URL that appears when you click on the English secure server link, change the lang bit to "2" - voila English (well as English as you're going to get!).
look at www.nsmb.com for reviews on this type of tyre, and they normally have links to the manufacturers too.
i was trawling the reviews there (and bulliten board) to find out stuff on a stratos tr1 i want to buy from CRC this friday. the canadians don't have much luck with stratos build and customer service.
I finally found the English version of that German site .......
"However, it is important that the fork and the damper harmonize. It makes no sense to combine a real hard, tight damper with a soft as butter fork like a Marzocchi Z1. The fork will have been overtaxed fast, what results meaning that the fork ins’t good and biasing the spring too extrem. "
Tioga performance may vary according to which version you have. Boy wonder has had 2.3 Fat 66 jobs for just over a year, and they've been truely excellent. They seem to have adifferent compound rubber for the treadband compared to the sidewall (sidewall is much harder) and that may be the difference. From your report it seems you had the 2.1s that everyone complained about.
