Hello, Am thinking of getting some of these next week, they look lovely, tough and warm. But how are they in the wet, will I also need a pair of cheapo waterproof over trousers for rainy days. Thanks for any help.
don't know. but my enduro 3/4 lengths are the muts nuts in all conditions have managed to put a small hole in them after a rather humorous off, but apart from that they have been quality. top marks to all endura bottoms in my experience
There is some type of coating on the longs that makes them pretty water resistant, however they're also so warm that you'd probably cook with overtrousers. I've use a pair for 2 winters and they still repel water, but I have been very careful to follow the washing instructions to preserve the coating. I guess that when it finally wears off, I'll try to reproof with oen of the Nikwax or Graingers products from the local outdoor shop
Got a pair last winter and have found them pure dead brilliant in all weathers.Shins have a coating which keep spray off lower legs and the uppers stay warm even when wet.Go forth and buy,you know you want to.
Agree with the others, but if you feel the cold then they will not be warm enough through winter. I got some last winter and there were rides when I could have done with something more thermal, my wife has Lusso bib longs that are thermal and never got cold once. I would say the Lusso's would be to warm for me most of the time, but will wear something extra on the very cold days this year with my MT500's. Might even get a pair of thermal longs if I can afford it.
Just to make you feel happier with your purchase I'd also recommend them. I always wear shorts underneath beause there isn't enough padding in them for me and I have never been cold in them even on snowy rides. Water does get through the fabric but they still keep me warm.
