Chain Reaction has free postage. They sell Fire XC pro Kevlars for pretty much the same price as anywhere else. Also, there are a range of grips from 8 quid to 15 quid.
Settle Cycles sells Contis a bit cheaper than most and I think they still have free postage. Not much good for grips though.
Allterrain Cycles often has cheap prices online too.
Actually the last time I bought grips online was some special offers from cambriabike.com - they got them all the way to me from Cambria, California in about the time it takes to get something from Wiggle. Bought some other cheapies as well, so even after paying the shipping charge the bill wasn't bad.
crc, but please not Tioga factory DH. look at the reveiws of them.
An NSMB review-
Submitted by uber from BC, can on February 11th, 2002 Duration Product Used: 6 months Price Paid: came on bike Purchased At: bike shop Pros: wear ok.. some grip in some conditions.. Cons: Yeah, f the other reviews! get these and lose a lot of skin on your knees and elbows when turning on anything remotely slippy.. and then after you heal, you can go do some drops and watch the sidewalls fold over when you're running 60 PSI. Review: bye!
and another Duration Product Used: 3 months Price Paid: £10 Purchased At: wades cycles Pros: cheap. big. jumping on concrete doesn't twang my rims with these on. Cons: widowmakers these tyres do not like wet tarmac. i've stood up to pedal and my front wheel has gone fro under me, and that was stationary. turning on wet tarmac and you can feel your front wheel going out from under you. brakinggoing downhill on tarmac is impossible run low pressure and the tyre collapses when cornering, scraping your chainstays and almost throwing you off. the tread wears fast and any wear soon makes this tyre unuseable! Review: i put 2.1" front and rear and will replace these asap. they are too dangerous, i have a wife and kids and don't want to die! jumping off-road and tairruns you have the confidence you won't dent your rims, but side to side movement is bad. pick your line and stay to it. i haven't had a puncture yet, i've been lucky, but the main body of the tyre is pretty thin.
