I'm looking at getting the thule velovise pro 511-1. These hold the bike through the front drop outs, following on from a pace forks thread, does anyone know of problems with these regarding warranties on forks. My forks are manitou mars elite's, not checked paper work to see if they comment on this.

I would also welcome any thoughts on bike carrying in general.

I'm riding an '02 Marin Mountvision and the standard roof racks that hold the down tube seem a bit dodgy and not sure it would fit. I also don't fancy a rear hatch carrier. My dad used to have a thule carrier that held the bike upside down and clamped the bars and saddle, anyone know if this still exists.

I am about to order a pair of these racks (511-1). Was going to use www.car-roofracks.co.uk at 76 each. Do you know anywhere cheaper.
From what I have seen of the older ones in use they are the business. I have already wasted enough time researching racks. Just do it.
