I have to agree about the battery life. Having paid £60 for these lights I was expecting a lot better. The build quality of the lights is good. I did not have any problem with fitting the battery into my bottle cage where it has stayed all winter nice and secure. After 2 months continuous use I now find that I am unable to complete my daily commute of 1 hour even on 1 light. The battery life is totally inadequate for the job and is currently lasting about 45 mins and 10 mins of this is at reduced brightness. I am having to charge them up for 10 hours everynight which must be costing me more than Duracell batteries. Overall the lights look good and should last. However, I have just ordered a set of SMART lights from CW to replace the cateye's as I can't rely on the battery anymore.
There was a battery issue with these lights - talk to where you bought them from. I'm on my 3rd season with them, and have had no loss in performance. I get about 1hr 30mins using the flood most of the time, the spot some of the time. I ride 3 or 4 nights a week with them.
