I got my julies pre installed on my 2001 rockhopper comp. imediately i crashed the thing braking the plastic levers (an SPD related incident), then after riding in the winter 2001 they seized with rock salt, Had the brakes stripped by the local bike shop and they seemed fine for a bit including new brake pads. now every time i come to change the brake pads they seem to be into a position so that the you can't put the disc rotor into the caliper. without a strip down rebleed etc. A pain.

On a plus note when they work they are fine little stoppers for the price and a worthy introduction to disc brakes.

A friend has the 2002 julie with alloy levers he has had no troubles at all with his brakes

However i think its time to upgrade to Hope
