Well after having just found that some how I've managed to bend my rear Hope Ti QR skewer (probably on one of those occasions when it loosened off and let the wheel fall out!) I was wondering what you guys recomended ?

I've been reading the thread on QR's coming undone, and so far the only QR's not moaned about have been Shimano Xt's and Salsa's - anybody got any other suggestions???

not that Im adverse choosing either of the above, just keeping an open mind! and hopefully keeping my wheels in contact with the bike!

In my experience, Shimanos are some of the best. Back in 1997ish, I over-tightened my rear QR and it snapped. I would have been ok but it was a PURPLE RINGLE ONE!!! I cried! Think that was day before my Zaskar got nicked...

oh well, at least the bastards didnt get the ringle skewer :-)

Yep Shimano XT. No need for fancy skewers, Shimano ones actually work

after talking to my LBS was thinking about getting the hubs "drilled" and putting Hope bolts in - cheaper and probably less prone to opening.... and it is for the SS !

Either XT or Salsa are great.

I'd go for whichever of those your LBS have in.
