After having my new Mount Vision for a week or so now, I really need to sort out some stone/mud guards as the weather here of late has made everything very wet leaving me covered at the end of a couple of hours. Any recommendations please? The fixing points on the this bike are not good to be honest. There are two bottle type bosses on the down tube nearest the ground, but there is a cable very near by also making it awkward for a guard I think. The rear one may well need to be attached to the seat post I think as it all looks a bit busy that end too. Many thanks to you all
SKS Shock Guard on the front, slots into the fork steerer.
At the rear, if you're using disc brakes then try a guard that mounts to your redundant brake bosses - if you've still got 'em. I got a cheap unit from Decathlon that works okay and it free's up your seat post.
That guard from Decathlon is a seriously cool idea. I had to move my rear light from the seatpost to the seat stays because there isn't enough room to clamp the seatpost in the workstand with the crud guard attached. I s'pose it also gets away from having to set up a crud guard six inched above the wheel to allow for the travel on a full susser.
