It's that time again. Need to buy new 9spd chain and cassette. Always use SRAM PC chains and XT cassettes without trouble. Anyone tried a SRAM 9.0 cassette? Same price (ish) as XT. Opinions please....

I've tried one. Is it better than XT? No. Is it worse? Er, No.
Which to get? Which ever you prefer really......

The difference between cogs on the SRAM is different, they seem to work as well as XT, little bit lighter. I have both XT and SRAM cassettes with bent cogs at home so I have managed to destroy both (tie)
Bring back 8 speed!!!!

i think XT is ever so slightly heavier.

but for the sake of getting something good which doesn't say shimano on it, get SRAM!

Got SRAM, love it, seems to last longer than Shimano BUT to be fair the SRAM is higher up the range than any Shimano I've had - all be it not much more expensive. I'd go SRAM.

Right. SRAM 9.0 cassette and a PC99 chain it is then.

Just a wee warning about wear rates. I've found SRAM 9.0 cassettes wear much quicker than XT ones.
