What can I gain from buying a Dawes Edge 1 compared to a MTB with suspension and gears? For some reason I know I want one but I can't prove it to my self why?
Is it possible to change the gear ratio on the rear cog without changing the chain length? can the horizontal dropout cope?
My first 3 bikes where single speed and I rode on them for years. 12" 20" 24" (all steel frames)
I really wanted one of these recently and the price is so low i was going to buy one. Unfortunately they don't come in my size (too small for me) so i couldn't. There is a review of the bike on this site cos one of the people here has one.
Don't most people here have a s/s as a second bike rather than their only bike? Depends upon your style of riding i suppose.
You have nothing to prove to yourself, if you want it, buy it. It's only £350 and i'm sure there must be some deals around on them now too.
