Anyone know of a cheaper method of getting the battery replaced in both the Polar M22 HRM watch and also the chest sensor that goes with it?

LSI the Polar distributors have just quoted me £15 for the watch and £32.50 for the chest sensor.

I know its half the price of a new M22 but even so sounds a bit extortionate to me. Am I just being tight?

The chest sensor is disposable - the battery goes you get a new one. The watch has to go back to finland for polar to replace (and service). The £15 is ok(ish), but consider upgrading the cheststrap to the new comfy one. A few quid more I believe, but not too bad. I suppose there may be some places selling of the old ones cheaper at the moment, so do a google search. IIRC there was a www.pulsemonitors.co.uk or similar that were quite cheap.
