The current giro is showing its age (and wear now) ... time for replacement .. the new Giro XEN looks like a winner ...

Nah, the Giro Xen is for girls.
So if you must get one, get it in pink.

You want one of those old leather ones.
Or a baseball cap stuffed with bubblewrap.
Or wear a jellyfish on your head - that should work ok.

'what colour rocks?' that's a bit personal, but if you must know, mine are pink, with a hint of ginger !

I saw a Xen for the first time the other day, looks OK but it's really heavy.

Mike, I've got a Giro Targa and a Giro p1sspot. There is a difference in weight, but it's so small that you can't tell the difference when riding.

What does matter is that the p1sspot has larger foamier pads, and is more comfortable by miles - but hotter in summer. And the peak on the Targa is great for keeping the sun out of my eyes.

Looks like the Xen gets the best of both.

I've recently bought the Xen and it is a little heavier than my original helmet, a havoc. I got it because it was the most comfortable helmet that I tried on. The weight isn't really an issue as I don't notice it once I am riding. One thing about it is that it is a bit hotter than other helemts so I do tend to sweat a bit more.

Oh and mine is blue!

Xen = most comfortable helmet I have worn. Try one and see. Its the only way to tell if it will fit your shape head.

I recently got a spesh M1, really really lightweight & slim.

I've got the titanium "silver" coulured Xen, for me it does'nt seem heavy at all, it's really comfy and straps never get tangled.

In the end it's like most things do i like the look of it, can i afford it, is it good quality, ok i'll buy it then.

The Xen, Havoc and Animas are all the same weight 10.5oz (298gm) only the E2 is lighter at 10oz (284gm), so their is no weight problem for the Xen.

If the extra 0.5oz is problem on your head get a haircut that should solve it, should help the sweating problem too.
