I've got an old (?late 90's) kona AA - nice easton Al 18 inch MTB with some yellow rock shocks and a mixtue of XT and kona stuff. It's in good nick and rides well. It's also pretty light.
Any ideas how much I should try and sell it for?

Well you could be right, hard to find out as I can't find the AA on mtbreview.com - I got it second hand from a mountain bike shop about 4 yrs ago and the story was that the guy who'd had it had rarely used it - it looked pretty new, but I quess it could be quite old.

Erm, toughy this one.

If it's in great nick, then it would be highly prized by an MTB enthusiast (like me - i'd love it but then I'm a but of a retro grouch) as this is one of the last Kona's to be spec'd with the 'best bit for the job' approach before Kona got massive and joined the 'cheapo full groupset and oem fork' route like most big brands.

On the other hand most people who buy second hand might just want a decent bike to ride for low cost. To them this is just an old bike.

I remember the 'Aah Aah' as I recall its pronounced coming out and getting 10/10 in Maximum MTB (going all glassy eyed now), I agree I think its 1996.

Just read back over this and realised I could have just put 'I don't know'. Verbal diahorreah again, sorry.

No worries, theres nothing to be ashamed about having a rant about old things made well.
