I have been lucky enough to have been given a set of the above. However, I currently do not have a V-Brake block/cartridge system installed on my bike.

Can anyone advise me as to whether the purchase of any any cartidge holder will take the above or does it have to be the official Kool Stop V-Brake Holder?

Either way, where can I purchase a holder, especially the Kool Stop V-Brake Holder?

Kool stops are really good Pads, didn't think they did cartidge type, guess you'll have to buy a new set with rubber though!!

Any holder will do. I had a set of Kool stops in an Avid holder.

However, you won't be able to buy holders without pads AFAIK. If you are in a hurry, buy Aztec holders/pads and you won't need to wait long before you can try your Koolstops...

Koolstops are the best cartridge pads I've used by quite some way. And all the cartridge pads have been better than all the non-cartridge blocks I've used.

Be careful, there are two types of V brake cartridge pads and holders. On one sort the slot that the pad slides into is straight on the other there is a slight curve (following the circumference of the rim) if you try and put the wrong pads in the wrong cartridges they either won't go in or will fall straight out. But I can't remember who makes which sort. If you look at the section on the back of your pads that slides into the holder you can tell if it has straight or curved edges.

I took the Kool Stops down to Evans Cycles, near Victora Station and armed with your information, purchased Aztec holder/pads, making sure my Kool Stops would fit on replacement.
