Bottle Cages...
...to fit on seatpost?

Hi. Is it possible to fix a bottle cage to the back of a seatpost? Do they make special ones for this purpose?

I usually use a Camelbak for long rides but for short local ones, I'd like something less bulky. I have a Spesh Enduro and don't want to hang a bottle off the downtube where it'll be in direct firing line from the crap on the trails!

Thanks for any suggestions.
I bought a great alloy drinks bottle from Halfords with a two stage lid and keeps all the crap of the nozzle.

Look at triathlon kit - the "Profile aqua rack" is a double bottle version, so you could also keep a spare tube / tools in the otherside.

The only downside is that in can get in the way a bit when hanging off the back on steep drop ins.

Otherwise, the Profile kit is the way to go.

You can buy a cage from Halfords for about 3 or 4 quid that attaches to the back of the saddle rails. Means you can still lower your post but might get in the way when you hang off the back

Thanks for this. I've ordered the Topeak seat post fixer, but I'll also check out Halfords just in case.
