My sister's acknowledging her genetic heritage and getting into cycling. I've given my old hacker to her student boyfriend and, despite a trip over the bars the first time he hauled on the brakes, he's enjoying it too.
So - they want to go away cycle camping for a week, but her bike isn't really set up for carrying panniers. People on here have mentioned cheap trailers on occasion - any more details available? It wouldn't be hauling stuff for long distances, more train-station-to-base-camp type stuff, letting them do day loops.
don't be surprised if you arrive at the station with a trailer and they don't let you on the train! Some guards can't cope with anything that doesn't have two wheels and a diamond frame (even then some of them get stroppy)
MW,there is one for £99.00 in Polkinghorns cycles on the Gill in Ulverston,if your Sisterand Boyfriend are down in deepest South Cumbria at all. ATVB Dr FG.
they dio ex-hire Burley trailers in great nick so maybe worth enquiring, they have a small trailer used by holiday makers to take camping stuff to camp sites etc
