Anybody got any suggestions for a less gimpy alternative to Ron Hills? Bit of weatherproofing a bonus but not essential. To go over shorts but not armour. Thanks, Ben
Ben, Tracksters are the best there is mate, i spent years avoiding them. Endura 3/4 humvee's/nema charlies, they don't come close. Why do you think 1/2 the british army wears them whilst running/cycling in cold weather. Face up to them they are on wiggle for 11.99 a pair, surrender to the Tight fit!!
Um, yes, depite skinny legs I had an awful struggle trying to get into them as well... My style crime is worse than tracksters though - through 3 unrelated shopping incidents I've ended up with a yellow lid. yellow jacket and yellow bike. I look a right twat on the trails. Ho hum.
I was a bit skeptical of Ronhills, but bought some a couple of days ago, really good for the commute (more comfortable than using full length leg warmers) not sure what they'd be like for XC, not bad I'm guessing. Mind you I have been slipping rapidly towards the tighter fitting kit for a while (particularly since I got a road bike!)
