Value for money, I bought a 2004 model really cheap, excellent bike, forks not the best but lot of bike for the money, for comparison I also run a Gary Fisher full suss.

I have an 2002 Avalanche 0.0 frame which i got for christmas 2002 so its 2 years old and it has stood up very well the only thing that lets it down is the paint job as its not really very resiliant to stone chips can coment on the componentary as mine is to my own spec
My GT's paint job, got ripped to shreds in the first 6months, but nothing else has really fallen off since, guess weak spots ??

who cares about paint jobs though, maybe it's just to covered in dirt to see them :)

You lazy g1t Dylan it should be kept clean and polished.. Although at this time of year its a waste of time (although a waxed down tube stops the mud form sticking)

got an avalanche 2 abt 2 years ago an yeah the paint does go a bit funny. MBr said that it woz quite gud 4 the whole range. The avlanche 0 woz reviewed this year an i think it got at least a 9/10
Does waxing it work Andy then ???

Bet I'm carrying 1lb of wet mud around with me, when I hose it off at the pub rare, it definately feels alot lighter, but hey the effect lasts 2mins tops.

it seems to. Mud cant stick obviously some builds up and washing the mud off is easy.. (it eliminates me needing to use muc off apart from the drive train so saves me a few £'s) mud just washes off.
I just use the same stuff i use to wax the car im talking about the stuff you rub on (turtle wax paste or simonise max wax ect) and wait ten mins (at this time of year) till it dried to a haze then buff off with a dry cloth.
Try it its better than wash and wax and its alot harder to get it on your disc's as you rub it on with a cloth
nah when ever I start treating my bike or car nice, they just go wrong, treat em mean and they just keep going :)
