I'm going to be travelling a bit and wanted to be able to take my bike with me to experience some foreign hills, does anyone have some advice as to what is the best bike bags around that the airport staff are least likely to be able to damage your bike in?

I'm thinking of spending around £150 or less. A few i have seen are:

BWH KOFFER TOURING BAG
TIFOSI DELUXE BIKE BAG
RBC BIKE TRAVEL TOURING BAG
REVOLUTION BIKE TRANSIT BAG

Or are there others out there that are better?

The 'Planet X' bags are good for around £100.

The Tifosi ones are good, well constructed.

You may also see them being paraded as Neil Pryde bags, teh Tifosi are exactly the same, just a different logo.

I'm very pleased with my Neill Pryde bag, used on 5 flights so far (to and around the US) and protected everything perfectly.

We've not used them yet but have taken delivery of Gill and DHB bags:

Looks like they come from the same factory as they're the same other than colour,size (the DHB is longer) and labels.

They're pretty well padded, heavy duty stitching and stiff plastic inserts where the wheel axles will be against the sides of the bag.

For what we paid I'm really pleased, but as I said not used in anger yet.
