I dont have the benefit of being able to see these glasses before i buy as none of my local shops sell them. Does anyone have any experience with these? They sound ideal for what im looking for.
I love my clear lenses on the Bloc shades but i look like a Bloc-head with them off the bike. Im after a pair i can wear on and off the bike that arent too dark.
"oakleys are way *out* for mtb... too roadie for me!!"
M-Frames have (for my face) the best coverage of any glasses I've ever tried. And I ride with contact lenses so that's kind of important. I don't care what they look like, I can't see 'em ;-)
if you don't want M Frames get half jackets or half jacked XLJs. me and most of my mates have them and they are a fantastic sport and fashion set of sunglasses. The lenses are easily changed and there is a big range to chose from.
with oakleys part of the deal is the lenses have the best optical clarity on the market which is good for your eyes and stops your brain getting screwed up from your eyes twitching to copensate for the irregularities. it can give you a headache quite easily. there was a scientific test of this in a pilot magazine a couple of years ago and some of the popular (and expensive) sunglasses on the market had dreadful lenses. oakley lenses are also unbreakable - go on, try it. If you want the best for your eyes oakleys are worth it.
The specialized are great for varied light conditions, bright sun, going through the trees, I have even used them at night. I used them last week snowboarding as well. They are also very comfortable. However, I have to admit they are not the sexiest looking shades, probably keep these for sports and get something else for general wear.
