They may not be Lupine Edisons, they may not be 100w searchlights, but the combination of good burn times, price & flexibility make them great as a first SERIOUS set of front lights.

I bought mine a little over a year ago, and used them dilligently according to the technical info on the website & in the manual that came with them. Towards the back end of last year, around about the same time Kev bought himself a set, I noticed they seemed to be letting me down occasionally, when they should have had loads of power left. I thought it was just me, and carried on using them. A couple of weeks ago, out on an eventful ride with some of the lads, my lights were shot after an hour at 20w!!!! They're rated to 2.5 hours at 20w, so you can imagine how I felt about that.

I emailed their tech support, and they gave me instructions on how to try & re-activate the lost charge. It didn't work, so they told me to bundle them up & send them off to their factory down south. 2 weeks later, I emailed enquiring how they'd got on, and they told me they'd only managed to get the burn times up a little bit. I wasn't very pleased, and told them that I'd looked after them & was a good boy.

"That was going to be my next question" was the response, and he finished off with "I'll put a new battery in the post for your tonight". RESULT! Isn't it fantastic when you get good customer service? Technically out of guarantee, but they must have been able to tell this couldn't have happened overnight. Not being a gang of robbing b*****ds, they felt it appropriate to replace my battery - and they've made me their biggest fan in the process!

In this age of "the customer is always wrong", and the "f*** you, we're a huge corporation" factor, it's nice to see a small BRITISH company doing well & looking after their customers. They deserve success.

Can you tell I'm having a warm fuzzy?

To cap it all off, when it arrived yesterday, it turns out they've upgraded me to a Li-Ion battery at no charge. Go and buy some now!
