SRAM attack for sure, my left hand shifter is still Deore, I rarely change it.
Ordered a new bike, got Deore, no way I can go between my 2 bikes, so ordered a Attack for it already LOL
Deore, unused shifter going cheap people :)
New bikes, got new fangled centre lock disks, on M495 hubs, spent ages trying to work out what they are, just found the review on Wiggle, thanks Mike :) blows my EBC upping to 180mm on the rear for long drags hey :(
So, Kato 160mm Deore M525's, to new XT disks Calipers will I notice much difference ???

well, 765 XT is a one piece caliper, so the theory is it should feel better at the lever than a two piece caliper (like the 525), because you're not losing any braking power to caliper flex.
Personally I'd go for whatever you can get the cheapest. I've got Shimano on two bikes, most my mates have the same with no problems, another couple of lads I ride with have Sram, doesn't seem to offer any advantage or disadvantge really.
I'd also go for the Sram chain though, just for the simple fact it comes with a Power Link, saves arseing about with a stupid joining pin.
I prefer the SRAM attack shifters, base range for me gears wise, changing gear is low on my prioritys. Weight saving from Deore / base SRAM to full XT isn't enough for me to care about.
Never snapped a SRAM chain, snapped loads of Shimano ones.
Always been a SRAM fan, just building a new bike with X0 twist shift, X9 rear mech, SRAM f/mech, chain and rear cassette. No Shimano in sight, cranks are race face aswell. Both my bikes run the same kit. Never had any problems (touch wood)!!!
i got f&r mech, shimano chainset, shimano bb, shimano chain, shimano shifters, shimano brakes, shimano hubs, shimano and all other junk is shimano not a trace or sram, truvativ, avid or rockshox
LX rear Mech and Front Mech's, Deore shifter on the Left still, rear shimano M525 brake, with EBC kit 180mm disk :) XT Cassette to, hated at first but it's put in good service over a year so, not to bad.
The brakes, are reliable work horses in all fairness.
