Hardly, Muc-Off isn't that powerful, and there are few substances out there that will actually damage a chain, it's one of the most resilient pieces of the bike.
GT85/WD40 are just for water displacing, anyone who uses it as a lubricant on its own will likely run into problems quite fast! 3 in 1 and similar are not designed for bikes, thus they will tend to turn everything black and shitty and attract the dirt, but they won't wear off.
Finish Line XC (green cap) is much the same, very viscose, good in really wet conditions or if you don't mind the whole chain looking horrible. Teflon Plus (red cap) is far better in the dry, but it is thinner and thus doesn't last as long.
I've always used White Lightning products, I liked the old RaceDay and I like the new Epic, they're much cleaner, and if applied properly I think they last longer than anything else. Having said that I've been
given a new sample of something to try, which is excellent, forget what it's called though! Something Gold i think!
