Interesting...didn't notice those before. I was using the Hope hose guides but they ripped my trousers and ended up getting bent by a pair of strides which was stronger than it!
I used them on my Marin and they worked very effectively.
Just make sure that the surface you're sticking them to is abosolutely clean and free of any grease - it's best to clean it with some meths or discbrake cleaner (not the oil based type though).
Also, if you can warm the metal up a little bit, perhaps with a hot water bottle or something similar, ever the heat from your hand should help. This makes the glue on the guides stick better.
