are the non disk speficic xc717 available for disks just that i presently hav v's and thinking of upgrading soon.

What?
There is an XC717 which will work with either disc brake or rim brake wheels and there is an XC717 Disc, which will only work with disc brake wheels. I think that's what you asked!?
