what break levers

i feel like my breaks arn't living upto their max pontetinal(sp)
i have the basic non branbed levers that came on the bike. i am running deore cable disks.
i'm not botherd about brand, just the best lever for not silly bucks.
any ideas.

Any of the Avid levers are nice - they've got the Speed Dial leverage adjuster so you can decide whether you want squooshy or solid-feeling brakes. Or the Deore levers are good, and very cheap.

if your looking to save money the Sram 5.0 ones got a good review deore's are ok but i do like the AVID's!!!
