I'd normally refer you to the SRAM website Ashley but the photos of the chains are wrong. The latest chains with three digit numbers have bulging side plates like Shimano chains. I use the 970 version (the pic on the website is the lousy old PC 59 :ç) ) and find the change is better than old generation SRAM chains. Durability seems about the same - the 970 I fitted last summer is about to go in the bin.
OK, what I am after is a replacement for my OEM chain fitted on a Scott scale with shimano drive. I would like light and durable but am confused between these two.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS THE PC99 Hollow pin I had one snap two weeks ago and a friend who baught one a week or two after me (copy cat) went yesterday whilst he was doing the coast to coast not even 200 miles on the chain... absolute sh1te im going back to the PC99 solid pin never had a problem with that
