...What the length of the current model fork is from the bottom headset race to the axle? I can't seem to find the oinfo anywhere. For some reason I think it's 440mm but does anyone know for sure (or own some and a tape measure!)

Haven't got one to hand, but I also think it's 440mm :-)

just measured my triple butted version, only 410mm. bought them a few years ago though. maybe newer versions are longer....

Thanks Mike/Steve. I know the older ones were 410mm ish, but I thought the newer ones were about 440mm, same as Pace RC31's to keep pace with the longer travel sus forks being used & maintain geometry.

I'd like to know as I'm spending some cash on bits so I'm ready to convert my Cotic to rigid/SS for next winter and have seen the disc only version online for £40.

Being as it's May, I've only got about 2 months before the start of Peak District winter I reckon :)

The newer ones are definitely longer. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the disc ones are the same as the 700C disc ones.

Still, if they come out a bit short just run a massive front tyre and a tidgy rear one ;-)
