right as the title suggest i'm after a new stem and some bars.
for the stem i think it will either be a thomson or one of the new hope ones that can hold there new lights, opinions or alternatives?
for the bars i haven't got a clue, except i prefer flat bars and standard size, rather than risers and oversized, other than that i'm open to suggestions.

and some nice comfy grips as well, reccomendations gratefully recieved.

I've been using tickety boo grips for the last year. Dead cheap and very grippy for hands and bars alike

"Which bar and stem?"

That kind of an arbitrary question. What are you riding, and how do you want the bike to behaive? For example, I'm currently riding an S-Works HT. That comes off the peg with a medium length / medium rise stem and risers, but I prefer my handling nippy and responsive, so I've slapped on a flat bar and a shorter but more angled stem. See what I mean?

Manufacturer wise - Easton, Thompson, FSA are all good and all look good, which is nice!

nurse padowan, i'm just getting ideas, ordering a new frame and just getting opinions and views on what to kit it out with, as yet i'm not sure what lenghts and stem rise i want as of yet.

No one ever recommends Ritchey WCS stems but they always get top marks in tests and i have one and rate it.

Cant go wrong with Easton bars either.

I'm with Kato, except I'm using Easton EC70 bars rather than Answers. Love the Thomson stem on my Klein (especially with matching post) and all my bikes use Rogue lock-ons.
If you want flats best to go for EC70s rather than the more expensive Eastons because they are slightly longer.

i'm using Thomson, LOOK carbon flats and woodman bar ends. titec pork rind grips.

can't fault any of it.
but the bars are a bit narrow, i'm going to get the salsa carbon bars soon, as they are really wide.

What you really really want is an EA70 Stem and some EC90 Equipe bars.
