Haven't been riding much in the last two years, but am desperately trying to get back into it once again. Problem is, my shorts don't fit any more! Anybody out there know of a good quality baggy short (with half-decent pad in the liner) in sizes up to about 42-44" waist (I said I was fat). Contact for the manufacturer/vendor would be great. Thanks in advance.
Gore make some large ones. Sugoi and Oakley appear to not realise that cyclists tend to have large legs, and so are too small! You might try some XXL Pearl Izumi if they're anywhere to be found.
I'm only a 34/36" waist, depending on recent drinking & eating activity but have a big arse and chunky thighs so I always struggle finding baggies that fit.
FWIW I find Fox shorts are great, they are a bit freeridey but comfy enough for full day rides and tend to be a bit looser where it counts. Think they go to XXL too and I'm an L so that might fit 42/44" waists.
I've never really found a pair of baggies I get on with, find the liner doesn't sit right, I just wear lyra shorts, or cycling boxers, with cut off combats or lightweight trousers over, that way I can cut them down to the right lenght, just on the knee :)
