I broke my cycling glasses last night so I need another pair.
I normally wear glasses (to drive, watch TV etc.) so my previous pair were Briko Clip's with an insert thing that you could theoretically put prescription lenses in.
Of course, I never did get round to having lenses made and fitted so I never used the 'clip' part and just trundled round in my regular partially sighted manner.
However, I really would like to try cycling with proper prescription cycling glasses. Does anyone know how I go about getting a pair?
I know what my prescription is and I'm keen to avoid the expense of a visit to an opticians. It would be good if they were pretty strong (so I don't break them) and reasonably priced ('cause I'm bound to lose them eventually). An option for clear and/or tinted lenses would be a bonus.
For the time being I'll keep the stones and insects out of my eyes with my trusty £2.50 safety glasses from Screwfix ;)
I got a pair of wrap rounds with prescription photochromatic lenses from optilabs - not cheap but way cheaper than Oakley etc. Very strong, flexible and look ok.
