I'm thinking of getting a setback (layback) version of the Thomson elite. I already have the normal Thomson Elite but my LBS said i can change it if i wanted.
Basically i am trying to give myself a bit more room in the cockpit as my Giant has got a pretty short top tub.
What i want to know is, is the the setback (layback) version as good as the normal version? is it just as strong?
I've got one on my Giant and its spot on. The anodising is still there too - you can't put it down as far as a straight one though, if you're concerned about the family jewels.
