I've been struggling to find a suitable pair of baggy shorts with plenty of room around the thigh area.

I currently have a pair of RaceFace Fury Short XL 39", which fit my waist and look OK when standing, but lack freedom around my arse and thighs when sat on my bike.

So come on fatties, what shorts can you recommend me? I will NOT wear tight lycra numbers!

I'm suppose I'm a clydesdale. But I'm not *that* big, there must be plenty of big shorts out there.

Second that on the lycra - my other pet hate is tops with elasticated bloody waistbands - more like wastebands - cuts you in half.

i got some padded lycra shorts (wait stay with me) and then just wear some normal shorts over the top. far more comfortable than most of the baggies i tried.

That's what I do at the moment, I just don't want anyone to *see* me wearing lycra.

But the thing is, my baggy shorts are past it and a little bit thick anyway. So I still need something to replace them.

The last time I went out shopping for a decent pair of shorts, I only found one pair in the City of Edinburgh that fit, and they weren't exactly great looking...

I'm a clydesdale as well. Endura Humvees have a fair bit of room in them. So do some Gore bike n more shorts. Don't go for the Endura MT500 baggys if you've got big thighs. Even in XL, mine are skin tight around the thighs.

theres a lack of shorts for us bigger people, again ive got a pair of enduras but not seen anything else out there that fits.

Well I just bought a pair of XXL Altura Attitudes from Alpine in Edinburgh. Plenty of room in them...Cheers.

Have you tried Pearl Izumi Voltana's There pretty volumous as they are made for yanks.
