Raceface Carbon bits - dodgy weights?
Some people seem to think that it weighs far more than quoted...

Does anyone have either a 2005 Raceface Next Carbon riser bar, or a Next Carbon seatpost? On MTBR and Weight Weenies there seem to be a lot of people who reckon they weigh upto 30% more than their quoted weights!!

I'm building a new bike, and don't want to fork out for lightweight bits that aren't!

What do they really weigh?

A lot? I see one listing on Weightweenies that has the post at 25% over the stated weight, and one that has the bar at 197g against a claimed weight of 175g, but the claimed weight is for a 25.4mm bar and the WW listing is for a 31.8mm. I can't quite face rummaging through MTBR, it brings me out in a rash ;-)

Yes, but on the other hand it's a sample size of one ;-)

I've got a RF Carbon flat bar. Haven't weighed it but it feels damn light ;)
