I have shimano 521 clipless pedals on my MTB. Just wanted to know if any of you guys knew whether it is possible to get a second set of identical pedals to my road bike so that I can use the same shoes etc?

As long as the cleats are compatible then it doesn’t matter if the pedals aren’t the same model.

Try putting your mtb pedals on your road bike: to the front with the spanner=off; to the back=on. Benefits: easy walking, double side entry (a genuine benefit in town), one pair of shoes.

Shimano do a very light, single-sided road pedal to take their mountain bike SPDs, erm, these things. But any Shimano mountain bike SPD pedal should be compatible with your shoes/cleats.
