Does anyone out there know of any desent MTB suspension forks that are available to fit a 1" steerer. I've got an old cannondale hardtail that I really like it just needs some new forks. Can anyone help. All I found so far is the Marzocchi 2005 MX Comp Air for £139.99 from chain reaction.

That's really all there is.
Marz's should be sound enough though, and don't forget that the 1" steerer is quite a bit easier to break than the 1 1/8".
Saying that I have a fully rigid with 1" steerer that has took some abuse, you just won't know until they go...!

Thats pretty much your lot really. IIRC you can normally convince Pace to make you forks with 1in steerers, but you are now talking the very opposite end of the budget scale at £400 or so.
Otherwise its Ebay for some used forks.

In any case the MX Comps should be fine. They are a great fork, at a bargin price. You'll want the 85mm version as the longer ones will really mess up your steering.
