I'm looking to get some pedals pretty soonish, and have taken a fancy to the 50/50's.

Are there any other pedals that are decent, not huge and quite lightweight without having to go for spds

Wellgo do some Magnesium body pedals that are very light for a flat pedal, cost £55, may be called the BAM96 or something similar, they're good! Or the Shimano DX is a very nice pedal.

Aah yes, if ever weights are needed I shall be there... Have you checked out Weight Weenies? probably not too many flat pedals on there, but an invaluable website none the less!

The magnesium version of my pedals, which are not heavy anyway, and grip like sh!t.

Wellgo are good value pedals. I use their MG-1 Magnesium ones with titanium axles. Very light at about 300grams the pair.

I got myself some dmr v8's £20 in blue and half the weight of my current ones :)
