I'm after buying a rear mounted cycle carrier for my car as a quick transport method for getting out and about. I've looked everywhere and the cheapest are Halfords - £30-40 for two-three bike carrier.
Are these any good? Has anybody got anything good or bad to say about them?

Yes, they're ok for the money, very stable. Just don't forget to put the red straps AROUND all the bikes tho' (else the back one falls off eh Alan :-p )

The quality isn't the best, I managed to crack a plastic handle the second time it was used, however for the money they're decent enough and do the job OK.

As you say for the money you can't really argue.

You might want to seriously consider paying a bit more and getting something easier to use and possibly more secure. Have a look at www.roofbox.co.uk . They are very helpful.
