Not sure whether anybody will be able to help on this one but, are dirt jumpers lids suitable for skiing?

I ask because skiing helmets are so much more expensive and to a lay-person like myself, the nature of the impact is likely to be harsher on a moutain bike landing on hard ground, rocks etc than nice fluffy snow.

I know you get ice and so on which would be like landing on concrete I'm sure but does anybody know about the relevant safety standards etc and whether the helmets would be transferrable?

Look on the On One website - (www.on-one.co.uk) I think they are selling well priced skiing/boarding lids.

But know what you mean about price of lids.

I can't see there being much difference actually, might want to wear something underneath for the cold though!
