Surely you can just ride it to see what its like...

i havent rode a bike for some 30 years,but due to health problems i have taken up rideing again mainly off road you no country parks places like that, well i was talked into buying my diamondback s20 for 200 pounds from my local cycle dealer,he told me thay normaly retail at 350 so i thought i had a good deal and just wanted to know if anyone else has any views or problems it seems too good to be true? or have i bought a pig in a poke,

should get you started nicely, the drivetrain should be reliable, the forks are likely to seive, but you will end up upgrading when you get into mountain biking, that's when, not if

you (in time) may also want to consider disk brakes, v's lose power quite easily, especially in wet (britain)

competent bike though, good price

Would this bike be any good for off road riding on terain like of Glentress?

I love glentress but it has wrecked my current cheapo halfords special. Would this bike put up with the punishment?
