whilst out sorting out the rest of my drivetrain ready for my new hanger, i get the bike a quick once over with a bucket of water & brush
as it's got no front wheel at the moment, i had it upside down, i cycled the forks a few times, usual fluidy noises... then looked & realised that they were meant to be locked out...
i reverted them quickly as i were quite worried, and pushed down a couple of times, then unlocked, then relocked... nothing
:-(
any suggestions before i contact crc/sram/rockshox?
The lockout on mine stopped working and after taking them to bits and generally spending ages with oil quantities etc I finally discovered that the cable from the poplock to the forks had either stretched or slipped slightly and when pushing the poplock to lock the forks out it didnt quite pull the lockout dial on top of the forks far enough round . Worth a look before you do anything dramatic that's assuming you have the poplock version of course .
Give crc an email and then they'll probly ask you to send them back to them. Service was informative and everything they fixed my leaky Mxcs did take a month over xmas thou and the forks seemed to travel from me in portsmouth to ireland to windwave in gosport to ireland to me again in portsmouth, epic..
