I got a Jake the Snake and I love it but recently I've notice that when I turn my leading foot hits the front wheel!! This is freaking me out and I starting to wonder whether the Head Angle is not large enough or that I have a dodgy fork. I got SPD pedals and they've been sut up as adviced(clits on ball of the foot, etc, etc).
Does anybody out there has the same problem or is it just me??
Kato, for your info Jake the Snake is a cyclo cross bike... just picture being off road and suddenly your leading foot touching the front wheel. Anyhow, I've never ridden a roadie that does that!!
On my road bikes and my cross bikes my lead foot overlaps the front wheel and I've never ever had an issue actually riding any of them. I know people with track bikes where the crank overlaps the front wheel.
Kato, fair enough if I was riding long straight roads but I'm not. Im off roading!! And anyhow, I know cross bikes originate from road bikes but they're well different now; shorter frame, higher crank set, etc, etc.
Have you actually ridden it? Friend of mine rides some mental stuff on his Specialized Tricross, and his foot overlaps, it's not the end of the world! Anyway, when do you corner with your pedals level!?
