After a couple of days last week back at Coed-Y-Brenin and Betws-Y-Coed and having helped a local experienced rider down the last drp of the Marin Trail with a shatttered (literally) elbow and having the previous day removed various sections of shin skin of my own, can anyone recommend which of the large range of shin/knee/elbow pads really are the best for a this sort of riding? I have very large calfs/knees so they have go to be large and I sweat at the sight of an incline but ride up them anyway, its a mental strength thing (or just too fat and lazy to walk up).
I have to admit after the over the bars I did it slowed me down for the next 20 yards but I have this problem that I tend to ride beyond my capbilities or skill level. Can you show me a picture of your Fanny Pads Pete? You sound like a man of experience!
I sense ther may be some issues for Pete tonight. Thanks for the hints its just that I cant afford to be of work with bust limbs, I am already a raspberry ripple and dont heal too good. Do you think the Fanny Pad would be good for pile relief post ride in the car on the way home?
Second thoughts they look like an ideal fathers day gift for heavy runny noses, perhaps could have one safety pinned attached to my shirt to wipe away the tears after I've wiped out!
