I have been contemplating buying this seatpost, nice price at chainreaction and quite light.I have read some reviews that these are prone to breaking and that locking pins snap or come loose. Has any one out there got one or got any feedback.
Alternatively has any one got any recommendations for a 30.9 seat post. 250g max weight. £30-35 budget.

30.9 is same size as mine (specialized frame) and there weren't so many choices when I was looking for a new post.

Ive no experience of the titec although I hear titec kit is decent quality. I went for an Easton EC70 in the end which was quite pricey but the other easton posts are also great - strong/light/well finished - and they do them in 30.9 and a decent length if you need it. You might find an Easton EA70 alloy post for about £35 if you hunt around. Maybe.

(forget the EA70 I think they are nearer £55 actually. EA50 is the seatpost that is around £35)

have looked at the easton seatposts,EA50 is a little too heavy.Thomson elite would be the next one in the pecking order but a bit above my budget.

Been using the Titec Scoper for 2years and can't fault it, bling no, reliable yes!!

Remembers the old Keith Bontrager adage , light , strong , cheap , pick any two .
