Has anyone tried waterproof shorts? My commute has 30 mins ride with a 30 mins train journey, and I'm sick of sitting in wet y fronts. I was wondering if they are worth it? The Gore Add-Ventage Windstopper Trousers look good cos you can detach the lower leg, but I'm not sure if they're actually waterproof or not. There are conflicting descriptions on the web.
Can't believe you've started a thread on waterproof shorts during the biggest heatwave in 100 years....
However, I agree with Dan. Don't wear any grundies when cycling and get some half decent lycra shorts with a good insert. Keep your pants in your bag nice and dry and change into them when you get there. At the end of the day the lycra will have dried and you can get changed again.
