Thinking about a low-medium end full sus bike, cant be too slow as do some MTB orienteering. Currently ride a GT avalanche and happy enough but hurts my bum a bit on the downhills. Anyone ridden an Ariel, my other option is last years model Giant Trance 3, going for about £850 in some places..

They have the trance going quite chap the, and the new GT iDrive 5, plus some other bargain full sussers. I would go for the ariel, it will be heavy and perform badly off road.

Mate got a Reign 3 for a good price, he is very happy with it indeed.

dont bother with saracen full sus bikes ... they are really compromised and spares are nigh on impossible to get after a year or so ...

definately for the giant trance/reign or one of the GT i-drives at pauls. There's some serious bargains; trance 4 with hayes hfx -9 hydro discs (not the slighty shoddy soles) for around £600; bargain. ok fork needs upgrading but anyways...

sorry teapot; I've never ridden 'em but some people have reported lots of problems.

(thats the problem about bike forums cos you cant put anything negative about any bike kit at all as someone will own it! )
