It has occurred to me living in sunny Europe (OK rainy Belgium) that I benifit from the best of both worlds, I can get most of the stuff available in the UK plus all the European gear.

So what's the consensus, do you think you maybe missing out on some nice european brands unavailable in the UK, and is there anything out there which you wish was available.

Is it any cheaper. I resent the current amount of money I have to spend on my bike

Have a look a tyre prices on bike-components.de Nell.

Even when Euro brands do make it to the UK the prices suddenly become very British.
I tend to buy a few bits, mainly clothing, when I am in Italy, although sometimes the big name stuff is just as expensive as if bought here!

Too true I noticed for some components the Euro price is the same as the price in pounds. Personnally through looking at things I seem to notice that the UK follows more closely the US.

it would be nice to get some of the brands over. might not buy anything from them, but lapierre make some cracking stuff.
