Mike, FS means the rear end gets lower to so more critical, loads of other factors, Riding Style, location, day or night riding ( Strike more at night as I miss things ), BB height, I go to great lengths to stop striking.
Mike, so your running with less of a coil lenghth wise LOL
Plus your frame was built around a 80-100mm fork anyways.
On my trek liquid i replaced the big chaining and within 2 rides it was goosed at the point where i had the cranks at 2.45. Basically on the techy rocks etc i was grounding it out all the time. I also had the dreaded pedal strike but not too often.
Since going to hardtail i havent bottomed out once and in fact i fitted a bash guard to replace the big ring and it has never been touched.
Causes, bigger numbers sell unless it's weight ofcourse then smaller, even short people might refuse to buy a bike with 170's on, what would people think, strange world, stranger people.
Abit less Sag front and back will sort that last strike out to :)
